Harvard Medical School is the world's leading medical school, founded in 1782. It is located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and has more than 11,000 faculty members from 11 basic and social science departments, including the Blavatnik Institute, and 15 Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospitals and research institutes. Harvard Medical School has made significant contributions to the advancement of human medicine and created many firsts in the world in medical history: the invention and application of a vaccine for poliovirus, artificial respirators, visual brain mapping, the application of ether anesthesia, external pacemakers, kidney transplantation, and heart valve surgery etc.

Harvard Medical School has always been committed to the reform of medical education, and has been highly effective in clinical teaching and medical education research. Since 1985, when the "New Pathway" teaching model began to be reformed, it has been continuously innovated and optimized over the past 30 years, and has gone through several rounds of reform to form an "organ-system" based medical curriculum teaching model, which has provided a model and benchmark for medical education reform in many medical schools around the world.(Reviewer Yunshuo Li)
