Dr. James Wang, specialist of Neurosurgery Department of University of Washington, visited Beijing Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital and made a speech on Healthcare Models USA v.s World for the leadership and all the physicians of our hospitalon 24th October, 2013. CEO Zhihua Wang of our hospital hosted this meeting.
Dr. Wang introduced international medical education and medical management from macroscopic and microscopic aspect respectively. He introduced four international medical models detailedly, compared American medical model with medical models in other countries, analyzed the outcomes of American model, and pointed what our hospital can absorb from these medical models.
Dr. Wang’s excellent speech has aroused active response from the leadership and physicians of our hospital. “Is it feasible if we import American physician training system to China, to our hospital?” One of our physicians asked. Dr. Wang considered that it’s feasible if we combine international physician training system with our realistic national conditions and improve the training system according to Chinese typical medical character. This is also a critical opportunity what should be captured by Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital. CEO Zhihua Wang also showed that Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital will import Taiwan or American physician training system as far as possible and establish our own physician training base after hospital starts operation.
