(Written By LIU.Z.T. & YU.Y.C.)From October 16th to 30th, with the successful ending of the "Experience Beijing" curling series test competition, the medical security team of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University successfully completed the medical security task of the Ice Cube of National Aquatics Center .This medical security has set up a total of 5 medical stations, all 39 team members overcome difficulties and devote 16 hours a day of work to the medical security for athletes from 12 countries and more than 30 departments of the venue, providing more than 50 medical services and epidemic prevention and control management services.

Ice Cube is the only venue to host the Paralympic Games in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics "Experience Beijing" series of testing competitions. While providing medical security for domestic testing activities, the medical security team also adheres to the principle of "Concept, Information, Hardware and Services are Barrier-free" in view of the peculiarities of wheelchair curling tournaments, embodying humanistic care and specially equipping assistive doctors to provide services such as wheelchair repairs and prosthetic maintenance services for participating players from various countries; fully considering the physical limitations of the participants and the characteristics and details of daily activities to set up an adjustable height diagnosis bed, and specifically widening the temperature detection door. The team members specially conducted on-site drills to imitate the height standard setting of wheelchair athletes to ensure that the athletes are at the right height and within reach when taking epidemic prevention materials.

As COVID-19 continues to spread around the world, the epidemic prevention and control work of venues is facing severe challenges. For this reason, before the testing competition ,the security team has carried out fever emergency response plan exercises in the venues for many times. During the competition, all the team members implemented closed-loop management by zone, and personnel inside and outside the closed-loop are not crossed, reducing the flow of personnel and reducing the risk of infection. At the same time, the medical security team actively assists venues to implement epidemic prevention work, implement real-time body temperature monitoring through "body temperature stickers", implement secondary protection, perform and supervise work area disinfection work, ensuring the safe and smooth operation of venues.
