Tsinghua University Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital is a large-scale comprehensive public hospital jointly built and managed by Tsinghua University and Beijing Municipality. During its construction and operation, it received selfless donations and assistance from Formosa Plastics Group and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The hospital is located in the Tiantongyuan area of Changping District, Beijing. It has a total planned bed capacity of 1,500 and opened on November 28, 2014. It is a Class A designated medical institution for basic medical insurance in Beijing. Medical insurance personnel in Beijing can settle accounts in real time without choosing designated hospitals, and medical insurance from other places can be settled directly.

The hospital adheres to the principle of “patient-centered healthcare service, clinician-centered hospital management, employee-centered hospital development”, and has established and practiced the concept of Precision Medical Treatment, Lean Management and Empathetic Service, and has built a modern health and medical service system covering the entire life cycle and integrating digital intelligence.The hospital adheres to its public welfare orientation, implements the president responsibility system under the leadership of the BTCH Party committee, and establishes and improves a modern hospital governance system. Relying on the hospital, it has successively established the Institute of Organ Transplantation and Bionic Medicine of Tsinghua University and Beijing Visual Science and Translational Eye Research Institute. The world-class Clinical Biological Sample Resource Center of Tsinghua University has been completed and put into use.
