(Translated By YU.Y.C.)The International Council of Nurses (ICN) Congress was held in Helsinki, Finland from June 9th to 13th. More than 7,000 Nursing elites from over 140 countries and regions around the World conducted extensive exchanges around the conference theme "Nursing Power to Change the World". A six-member nursing team from Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital was invited to attend the conference. 28 of their papers were accepted for oral presentations and poster presentations, presenting the research achievements and professional level of nursing in all aspects.
Li Caihong, the head nurse and case manager, gave an oral speech at the sub-forum on "The Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Nursing". The topic of her presentation was "Evaluation of the Application Effect of ChatGPT Combined with Case Managers in the Education and Support of Dietary Self-Management for Diabetic Patients", providing a beneficial exploration for the practice of full-process intelligent management of patients and receiving positive evaluations from many nursing colleagues.
Five nursing representatives presented and exchanged on-site electronic posters on the research results of nursing, covering topics such as family information-based care for children with asthma, risk assessment and hierarchical management of hyperkalemia in patients with chronic kidney disease, high-simulation robot simulation of Intensive Care nursing teaching, nursing led discharge preparation services, and intraoperative positioning nursing cooperation using virtual reality technology.
From the cutting-edge of scientific research exploration to clinical practice, our hospital's team has conducted in-depth discussions with nursing teams from various countries, and has also had close exchanges with teams such as the American Nurses Association, the National University of Singapore, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Canadian RANO Guidelines,sharing experiences with each other on cutting-edge topics, the formulation of nursing standards, the development of nursing education, the advancement of case management, and advanced practice nurses, establishing links for integrated and co-created development.
