（Written By Yang.Y.）From December 3 to 6, 2024, Dr. Yang Yu, attending physician of the Department of Vascular Surgery, Tsinghua University Affiliated Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, 25th Congress of the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery in Bangkok, Thailand, and gave two oral speeches.
This ASVS2024 meeting, the 25th Congress of the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery, was held in Bangkok, Thailand. It made a comprehensive summary of the improvement in Asian vascular surgery. The latest guidelines and researches of aorta, lower extremity arterial diseases, venous diseases, dialysis access were described, and the latest technologies and instruments were introduced.
As a Chinese participant, Dr. Yang Yu made two oral speeches at the conference: Emergent thoracic endovascular aortic repair and elective thoracoscopic hemothorax removal was performed on December 4, 2024 and Endovascular Salvage of Tuberculous Descending Aortic Pseudoaneurysm on December 5, 2024. The case reports introduced the difficult cases carried out by the Department of Vascular Surgery of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital (BTCH) in 2024, highlighting the MDT cooperation of the department of vascular surgery, intensive care unit, thoracic surgery, anesthesiology, respiratory medicine, infectious medicine, and nephrology in BTCH.
The speeches won the attention and affirmation of many participants, and full communications and discussions were carried out with colleagues.

At the same time, Dr. Yang Yu participated in 2 workshops: 1. ASVS Venous Bypass Hands-on Workshop, the instructors were Professor Kim Houlind (Denmark) and Professor Apakorn Moopisal (Thailand), and the assistant was Dr. Thaweechal (Thailand); 2. ASVS Carotid Endarterectomy Hands-on Workshop, supervised by Professor Julian Wong (Singapore) and assistant by Dr Prakash (Singapore). Both of the two simulating operations were finished first in the venue, and the surgical skills were affirmed by the colleagues.
At the ASVS2024 conference, Dr. Yang Yu communicated extensively with many participants. While introducing the practice of BTCH, he learned various new technologies and ideas such as rotational atherectomy system of lower extremity arterial plaque, internal aortic branch stent, and the concept of lower extremity venous arterialization. He plans to continue to innovate and accomplish more new achievements.
